On route to our next stop, Bude, we decided to pop into Boscastle for a quick look around. The approaching roads are quite narrow but we made it in and found a very large car park with dedicated parking spaces for motor homes !
The harbour area was very picturesque and very natural having not been over commercialised. There was a large national trust visitor centre with information about the history of Boscastle which we found very informative.
We walked around the harbour and up onto nearby cliffs with fabulous views. The design of the harbour makes it a very sheltered spot for boats. We sat on the cliff edge and listened to the blow hole situated near the entrance to the harbour.
There were several little craft shops a few cafes and a pub. It would have been rude to not try them out.
When we had finished looking around we had a picnic next to the river , a lovely way to end our visit to Boscastle. Xx🐧xx
