We had a very good journey to this camp site in Stokenham which is also a Caravan and Motorhome site. The upper ferry crossing went smoothly. Shopping in Sainsbury’s was urgent… Dave had run out of wine🍷 😱 and the road along the sea and key was quite breathtaking as you had bodies of water on both sides of you.

This camp site is smaller than the others and having read the reviews we knew to pick a pitch away from the road. As luck would have it a nice little spot was vacant just where we wanted it. After an hour we were all set up in our new home and time to explore our new surroundings. Xx

The owners were very warm and helpful on our arrival and made us feel very welcome so we made the most of their knowledge of the local area and took their advice on exploring both footpaths that lead from the site.

To the right is the village of Stokenham, very quiet with a village green and 2 pubs. We sampled the pub

Lovely thatched cottages with animals sculptures on top of them. Were throughout the village.

We had plenty of time to idle away so we decided to go down the other footpath which led to the coast and the Ley. We had to sample the beer here too, just to compare you understand. Unfortunately my battery ran out on my phone so I was unable to take photos, shame, we’ll just have to go back just for a photo shoot🤣🤣🤣

Just before we headed home We walked along the beach and saw something we hadn’t ever seen before, a beach full of starfish, hundreds of them all washed up on the shore but slowly being taken back into the sea by the tide.

We would recommend this site for although wi-fi is a little hit and miss , it has lovely clean amenities, welcoming staff, quiet pitches and the 2 footpaths make it easy to explore the local hostelries and surrounding areas. Xx🐧xx
